A cold January

January was so busy, we forgot to take a lot of pictures ...

We spent time in Albany, and at Josh & Christine's incredible wedding at an aquarium in Camden, NJ. Click below for more!

Having fun at the Farmland splashpark.

Cassie getting up close and personal with a goat!

Julia and the McGonagle children milking a fake cow. Because that, my friends, is what families do together. Milk fake cows.

Julia Takes Manhattan

We took an overnight trip to New Jersey and New York City to visit Aunt Mary (of "Auntie Mary's Good-Time Slippatorium Water Parks & Deli"), The Mark & Leah Dillons, and Canada's own Kim Humby.
So I guess we didn't take a ton of pictures, but here's the best of the ... five.

Baby's first train ride with Momma and Mary ...

Here's Julia looking about 5 years old. She's getting quite talented walking and doing stairs ...

Trip 2003

Back in the summer of 2003, four men set out on a roadtrip to see (almost) all the major league ballparks on the west coast. "Trip 2003", as it was affectionately known, was a smashing success.

Using only a rental car and a turn-by-turn trip plan calculated by the new-fangled "MapQuest", Trip 2003 made stops in:
- Seattle (Seattle Mariners)
- Carmel, CA (for some fishin')
- Oakland (Oakland Athletics)
- Los Angeles (LA Dodgers)
- Anaheim (Los Angeles ofAmerica's Anaheim Angels)
- San Diego (San Diego Padres)
- Arizona (Arizona Diamondbacks)
- Las Vegas (??????, ???????, and a quick round of ????????)

Our only real plan for accommodations was to book our flights and our first hotel in Seattle. After that, we used Jason's trusty lap-top computer and Priceline.com to book rooms in whatever the next city was. Only in Anaheim did we find ourselves driving around aimlessly looking for a room, actually racing another weary group from hotel lobby to hotel lobby until we found a vacancy.

Trip was truly an amazing event.

WARNING: There are 309 pictures from the trip, and they are not quite "sequential". If you're interested, have at it!

Shower Power!

Lori and BabyGirl were feted by friends and family at two baby showers; one in Albany, NY hosted by her mother, and one in Westboro, MA hosted by her friends.

We truly have the greatest friends and family in the world - thanks to everyone for their kindness and generosity, and for helping to make BabyGirl's nursery the happiest place in the house!

Kevin & Tracy McMahon!

Our good friends Tracy and Kevin got married this past Saturday. The rehearsal dinner was at the legendary Stockyard restaurant in Brighton, and the ceremony and reception were at the Larz Anderson Auto Museum in Brookline. Everyone had an amazing time, Tim McMahon gave an awesome toast to the new couple, and the crowd partied late into the night!

All venues were incredible, everything went off without a hitch, and the happy couple are now enjoying a much-deserved break from the madness (aka honeymoon) in Bermuda.

More pictures can be found here.

Also - this picture is courtesy of Jason & Leah's blog ... thought it was a nice shot (thanks to Leah Moens Enterprises®)

Congrats again to Kev and Tracy!

Weekend Update

Tanks for the Memories
We came home on Friday to find that our 6 year-old water heater had "passed on".

Of course, whoever invented hot water heaters decided that the best way for them to die is to spill their guts all over your basement. Thankfully, it didn't let out too much before we found it and emptied it ourselves. Hopefully it will be replaced on Monday morning. Big thanks to the Regan family for letting us use their shower this weekend!

Saturday Night

Saturday night was spent at our Jon and Amy's place for their annual BBQ. They always put on a great party ... and it doesn't hurt that Jon works for Harpoon. The food was great, the late-night flip cup tourney was equally great, and hopefully Jon has both his flip-flops back by now.

The Nursery, Round One

Sunday was spent priming the walls of nursery. Painting with primer is a pain (alliteration?) and always looks like you haven't painted it thoroughly enough. I hate that. Anyway, I put two coats on. Exciting stuff. Some pics below:

By the way, Cody is a vicious dog. He just wanted you to know.

The Finished Front Deck

This projct was the bane of my existance for a couple months. I thought it would take a couple weekends, I was off by a little bit. Here are the fruits of the labor:
